♫ new music friday 5/8/26

Kelela might have my favorite release of the week with her new single “linknb”. these first two songs from her upcoming album have been incredible so far and she somehow keeps refining her sound without losing what makes her music feel so immersive. it sounds futuristic, emotional, and a little cold.. it’s everything i love about her music.

Charli xcx also dropped her new song “Rock Music” and it sounds like something that would work in an album tracklist but not a lead single. this era is so interesting already, but i assume this is to ease everyone into her new sound.

also really loved the new releases from Lykki Li, Boards of Canada, FLO, Little Simz, Madison Beer, Emei, DJ_Dave, Kesha + more this week.
