𓇳 my top 10 2000s indie pop albums of all time

indie pop is one of those genres that’s really personal to me. it’s the kind of genre i grew up on in middle school and high school, so it just takes me back to simpler times.

it sits right in that space between alternative and pop where it’s emotional but not too polished with soft melodies, alt textures, but still something you could move to.

this is part one of this genre, focusing on 2000–2009. this era laid the foundation for so much of what indie pop would become in the 2010s, so part two is definitely coming.

some of these albums defined the sound for me growing up, others i discovered later and connected with. but all of them carry that same feeling of nostalgia.
