♫ new music friday 9/11/26

new music from ⟢ Slayyyter, Jhené Aiko, Tinashe, Bloc Party, Bonobo, Hercules & Love Affair, Sophia Stel, Victoria Monét, Shygirl, FKJ…

good week for electronic and neo-soul music!

really loved the new Hercules & Love Affair record ‘Danseur.’ released in two parts over the last few months, the full project is finally here and it’s such a great listen from start to finish. it’s rooted in queer club culture, house music and the history of the dancefloor, it sounds nostalgic and completely alive. definitely one i’ll be coming back to.

Bonobo also returned with ‘Distance in Static’ and this one is beautiful. so many different textures and influences throughout this album, with features from Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba + more. another really strong record from beginning to end.

a few other favorites from this week definitely worth checking out: FKJ’s new album ‘Tyber,’ + new singles from Slayyyter, Cage The Elephant and daino!
