new music from ⟢ Steve Lacy, Nia Archives, Syd, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rick Ross, beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams, Mariah Carey, Leon Bridges…

The Internet fans really won today. Steve Lacy, Syd, and Matt Martians all released new projects. Steve Lacy’s album is much more rock forward and neo-psychedelic than I expected, but it works so well. every track has its own standout moment, and even at only 10 songs it doesn’t feel rushed or underdeveloped.. i wanted to replay every song before moving on to the next. this is easily one of my favorite releases of the year already.

Syd also delivered another beautiful contemporary rnb tecord. she has one of the smoothest voices in the genre, can’t wait to spend more time with this one.

Nia Archives was another huge highlight. if you’ve been getting into jungle, breakbeat, or electronic music, don’t skip this album. she’s one of the most exciting artists right now and deserves a lot more attention.

also loved Carly Rae Jepsen’s new single “After All.” it’s dreamy, down tempo disco, pop that reminds me a little of Jungle. i’d love to hear those two collab someday.
