this is one of the most stacked weeks we’ve had all year.

Ryan Beatty released his new album ‘Sweet Fortune’. sonically it picks up where ‘Calico’ left off, but the production feels much bolder and more expansive. i really loved how the writing centers around love, vulnerability, and the fear of losing someone. definitely an album that’s going to stay in my rotation all summer.

after my first listen, Chanel Beads’ new album ‘Your Day Will Come’ is probably my favorite release of the week. it’s indie-pop with an experimental edge, and i think this is a real step up in songwriting from their last LP as well. they have such a unique sound that feels completely their own, and the atmosphere throughout the record is fantastic!

Charli xcx also dropped another single, there’s this tongue-in-cheek confidence to her visuals, but underneath it she’s still writing from a really honest place, and i think that’s what makes these songs stick with me.

honestly this was one of those weeks where almost every release deserved its own moment. on almost any other friday they would’ve had my full attention. definitely one of my favorite New Music Fridays of the year so far.
