♫ new music friday 5/29/26

Ariana Grande officially kicked off her petal era with “hate that i made you love me” and i really love her tone on this. it feels more mature and lived-in, and sonically it fits the aesthetic of the album so well for me. excited to sit with the rest of this project and hoping for more rnb.

also was really surprised to see we’re getting a second album from WILLOW this year ‘petal rock black’ was already one of my favorite albums this year. her first single “Talk On The Hill” sounds like her version of pop with her own twist, she never misses.

really loved Blood Orange’s “Essex_Honey.mp3” too, it has this fired-up old-school rave beat, and the sample of Sky Ferreira’s “Everything is Embarrassing” is such a perfect touch and adds even more to that nostalgic pull.
