hi! i’m david, a music curator based in LA.

i started @listenwithdavid as a space to share the songs, albums, and stories that have stuck with me over time, and to connect with likeminded people who love music.

over the past couple years, it’s grown into a platform where i highlight new music, write album reviews, build weekly playlists, and spotlight physical media through my cd setups and collection.

this site is an extension of that. a place to go a little deeper, archive what i’m listening to, document standout releases, and create something you can come back to.

i’m always chasing that feeling of discovering something that just clicks, and i hope you find a bit of that here too.

thank you for listening with me ◉

new music from ⟢ Fontaines D.C., Angèle, Olivia Rodrigo & Chappell Roan, The Avalanches, Rachel Chinouriri, The Drums & Genesis Owusu, Sophia Stel, Shygirl, Tate McRae, A$AP Rocky…

another really good week with so much variety. the genres are all over the place, which is my favorite kind of week. based on my first listens, the albums from Fontaines, Nsqk, Rachel, Angèle, and The Avalanches are the ones i’m most excited to spend more time with this weekend.

Bob Moses combine all the sounds i love in electronic music with live vocals, guitars, keys, and drums. electronic sets incorporating live instruments will never fail imo. watching their Red Rocks performance made me wish i was there. i would’ve lost my mind experiencing this live!

Remi Wolf’s album also had some standout moments on first listen, especially “Yellow Rose” and “Burn Me Blue.” METTE and Current Joys have albums worth checking out as well, plus we got some really great deluxe albums from Arlo Parks and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Slayyyter’s “i think he’s got a girl” is probably my second favorite so far from her three recent releases. the chorus is extremely catchy. excited to spend more time with all of these this weekend!
